Joint Venture Oil Company, ZOC, in Libya streamlines Finance, Supply Chain through Oracle Applications

The Client

It has mandate to carry out a range of oil operations with concession contracts subject to the Production Sharing Agreements (PSAS) made between the NOC and the international oil companies (IOCs) Occidental and OMV.

The Business Necessity

The Company was running it’s business using legacy applications it is unable to derive business benefits that are available in ERP applications. Multiple applications were running for Finance, Supply Chain. Inventory Item Codes are duplicate and Item Code Standardization and Codification was necessary.

The GreenChain Involvement

A team of Three consultants were involved and executed the work from Tripoli, capital of Libya and Offshore Delivery centers in India. Consultants worked with Onsite Client Project Manager, interacted with business users to understand how business transactions are entered in their legacy systems and how reports were generated and used. Consultants configured Oracle ERP Release 12.1.1 covering Financials, PO, Inventory, demonstrated business processes conducted Training in English/ Arabic, Training Manuals.

Our Contribution to the project has started in April 2013 and continued till March 2014

The Team Composition


Mr. Siva Kumar has acted as SCM Functional Consultant, involved in project from beginning. He has worked mainly from Tripoli, Libya. He has participated in discussion with business users and demonstrated Oracle Solution to users. He configured PO, Inventory Applications integrated them with Financials, prepare Test Cases, testing of business cycles as practiced by users.


Mr. Shamiulla Bannuru has acted as Oracle Applications Technical Consultant. He has worked from Client Offshore Delivery Center located at Pune, India. He was involved in Custom Reports Development and Testing, creating SQL and PLSQL code required for custom components, writing Interfaces and Conversions.


Mr. Arjun Chowdary Thammineni has acted as Lead Oracle Applications DBA, involved in the project from the beginning till installation of applications including patches and brought system to stability. He has interacted with Oracle for identifying the patches based on application functionality.
