Leading Oil Operations and Gas Company in Libya streamlines Finance, Supply Chain and Human Resources through Oracle Applications

The Client

It is a Premier Oil Operations and Gas Production Company in Libya, which has potential to impact people,environment and physical assets.

The Business Necessity

The Company was running it’s business using legacy applications, which are not integrated and it is unable to derive business benefits that are available in ERP applications. Multiple applications were running for Finance, Supply Chain and Employee Payroll. There were challenges in uniform account code across locations and use. Inventory Item Codes are duplicate and Item Code Standardization and Codification was necessary.

The GreenChain Involvement

A team of Seven consultants were involved and executed the work from Tripoli, capital of Libya and Offshore Delivery centers in India. Consultants worked with Onsite Client Project Manager, interacted with business users to understand how business transactions are entered in their legacy systems and how reports were generated and used. Consultants configured Oracle ERP Release 12.1.1 covering Financials, Supply Chain Management and HRMS, demonstrated business processes, explained business benefits, conducted Training in English, provided User Manuals, Training Manuals. Consultants migrated data from both Manual and Legacy Applications after checking quality of data available with business users.

Our Contribution to the project has started in August 2010 and completed in March 2012


The Team Composition

Chandra

Mr. Alikanti Chandra Sekhar has acted as Financials Functional Consultant, involved in project from beginning till the time Work has been stopped due to Revolution in Libya. He has worked mainly from Tripoli, Libya. He has participated in discussion with business users and demonstrated Oracle Solution to users. He configured Financial Applications, testing of business cycles as practiced by users.

Mohan

Mr. Vamsee Mohan Sivaraju has acted as HRMS Functional Consultant, involved in project from beginning till the time Work has been stopped due to Revolution in Libya. He has worked mainly from Tripoli, Libya. He has participated in discussion with business users and demonstrated Oracle HRMS Solution to users. He prepared process documentation, configured applications, testing of business cycles as practiced by users, designed custom components, tested custom AME rules.

Subrahmanyam

Mr. Bala Subrahmanyam Choudhary Anne has acted as Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant and worked from Offshore Delivery Center, Hyderabad for short duration. He has tested business cycles as practiced by users and assisted Onsite consultants as required. He has provided guidance to Technical Consultants for designing custom reports.

Manoj

Mr. Manoj Kumar Lugun has acted as Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant, involved in project from beginning till the time Work has been stopped due to Revolution in Libya. He has worked from Offshore Delivery Center, Hyderabad. He has tested business cycles as practiced by users and assisted Onsite consultants as required. He has provided guidance to Technical Consultants for designing custom reports.

Ramana

Mr. Venkata Ramana Prasad Bodduluri has acted as Financials Functional Consultant, involved in project from beginning. He has worked from Offshore Delivery Center, Hyderabad. He has tested business cycles as practiced by users and assisted Onsite consultants as required. He has provided guidance to Technical Consultants for designing custom reports.

Naresh

Mr. Naresh Mumdlaputi has acted as Oracle Applications Technical Consultant. He has worked from Client Offshore Delivery Center located at Pune, India. He was involved in Custom Reports Development and Testing, creating SQL and PLSQL code required for custom components. He has worked in the project from November 2010 to February 2011.

Shaik

Mr. Nagoorvali Shaik has acted as Oracle Applications Technical Consultant. He has worked from Client Offshore Delivery Center located at Pune, India. He was involved in Custom Reports Development and Testing, creating SQL and PLSQL code required for custom components. He has worked in the project from November 2010 to February 2011.
