The Business Necessity

The Voluntary Organization needs to identify the costs incurred for executing the projects sponsored by Donors and external agencies. They are also running web based applications, where donors and public interact with, which are not integrated and it is unable to collate information and provide reports to funding agencies. The projects need to be executed within Time, Effort and Cost allocated by donors and projects are executed across locations in India, where connectivity can be a challenge many a time.

The GreenChain Involvement

A team of Five consultants were involved and executed the work from New Delhi, capital of India and Offshore Delivery center, Hyderabad, India. Consultants worked with Onsite Client Project Manager, interacted with employees to understand how projects were executed at various locations in India, how cost, effort and schedule is calculated for each project; challenges involved in collecting required information like team members, actual costs, time spent; how reports were generated and used. Consultants configured Oracle ERP Release 12 covering Project Costing, Project Billing, Project Management, it’s integration with Java based web applications, demonstrated process flow, conducted End User Training in English and Hindi for the benefit of users. Consultants prepared User Manuals, Training Material explaining sequence of steps inside the application. Consultants migrated project details including dates, cost, member data from both Manual and Spread Sheets after checking quality of data.
